Days in KL

Hey people,

Whaddup? It has been ages ain't it? You people must have wondered where I have gone to. Truthfully, it is hard to explain why I didn't write lately. But let's just keep this simple and let's just say I didn't have the time and resources.

So peeps, you wanna hear something new? yeah? you wanna?

I'm sure you do and I just can't wait to tell you about them. hahaha... really ka Ina?

The past few weeks have been somewhat happy, exciting, dreadful, and just plainly sad. What can I say, my life is full of dramas.

Oh, by the way, let me clear some things out. From now on, my blog is for my own usage, nothing business, just personal stuff that I want to let you guys read out aloud. errrk... No lah... just a place where I can write stuff so that you can keep up with the happenings in my life. So no more all these academic stuff, or talk about serious things. All I want to so is whine and whine and whine and whine and whine until you are too tired to hear me whine but still excited :D

This time of year, I feel quite discontent.

I missed so much of Bloomington and the Cristmas festivities happenin' in the States. Oh how I miss shopping there. I knew if I were in the States right now, I'll be in Chicago, spending my money out to my favourite retailers. I desperately need new shoes and new handbags. Gosh... Nik and Effy would definitely agree with me on this.

Sucks is the word to describe my feeling right now.

I know Malaysia is the home sweet home but if I were to choose where I would rather live between Malaysia and the States in terms of shopping, I would rather choose the States. Finding shoes for me in KL is hell. Nice shoes but no size. I envy too many people that I would be too happy just to cut off their legs. Horrible ain't it? Wished PayLess is open in KL.

The nicest thing I had in Malaysia is I guess the food choices. Roti canai, Nasi kerabu, Char kuey tiow, biryani, masak asam pedas, dim sum, etc, you can find them all easily at most time of the day. Unfortunately, I also missed Red Lobster meals. Oh, missed too much at the shrimp pasta alfredo. Can't find anything similar like that in KL. I've gone to many pasta restaurants in KL/PJ and all has failed to catch my taste buds. Even marinara at local cafes in the States tasted much better than those at the fancy pasta restaurants in KL. Don't believe me? Wait la till you are living and breathing KL.

If you ask me what excites me most living and working in KL, I would have to say it is the buildings. Everyday drive to inner KL, I can see almost all the famous and infamous structures from those shopping bazaar on Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman to those towering office buildings in the Golden Triangle area. I mean, I can feel that I am in this important place where people are making decisions every minute involving millions of ringgit, processed and exchanged hands everyday of the week including Saturdays and Sundays. Sometimes, I can just imagine my feet on the sidewalks of Manhattan, staring up the sky, looking at the tallest building in town. Perhaps working at the Twin Towers is fabulous, but in my opinion working at the streets of Jalan Raja Chulan and Jalan Sultan Ismail is hippier.

There are lots of stuff going on in KL that I've never known before. Maybe I had no money then, but since now that I have the credit and freedom to explore new things, in a few months time I should have pick up the "newly working class" things to do. I have to admit that I have some things going on now. Anyway, can't tell you now just yet. I'll tell you if we get to meet ya. hehehehehe...

Yup, being a KL citizen can be deceiving to the eyes of some opinioted people. I know I can look too innocent (erkk..) as if I know nothing, but you guys should know that I live and breath the good and the bad of KL for too long. There is no turning back and I cannot try not to be a proud KL citizen.

Sehingga bertemu kembali di lain lembaran.
