Heloo again...
Sorry for the lack of updates. Lately, I have no mood to write. I stayed home all day doing absolutely nothing (played some video games actually...) and hanging in my room waiting for anybody to call my cell. uh... unemployment sucks!
hmm.. oh yeah, went to Alor Setar last weekend. I decided to drive after nobody said anything about finding a mean of trasportation to go to my Bloomington's friend wedding in Alor Setar. Had to do some negotiations blah blah blah... Oh well, too much harm was done. Tak guna cerita banyak. Anyway, the trip was as expected. Laju and fun!!! hehehe...
The last time I remembered any part of Alor Setar was just the highway to the North. My favourite stop of all time is the Perhentian R&R Tapah. Nothing much is special here except for the Jambu air madu. Sedaapppp... If you got extra change, you can get a $10 ice-cream from Baskin Robbin. But I opt for the $1 jambu instead.
The trip to Alor Setar was about 5 1/2 hours. We stayed at Seri Malaysia. Low budget hotel. Not recommended to anyone unless if your pocket "bocor". Innocently I thought Alor Setar is a bigger city than what I imagined. I was wrong. I think the whole city center is as big as Kepong. gosh... Anyway, better not to have traffic when you are travelling, right?
I loved the Zahir Mosque and the many old, istana-like buildings in the city. Too bad I didn't have my camera with me. Surely I can get some good shots with my Canon. I also went to "rumah kelahiran Dr. Mahathir" somewhere near a river, at the southern part of the city. No wonder he became the president, he was academically trained since he was small. It was a wonderful house to visit. On a side note: No offence, but since he came out on the TV bitching about AP, I lost respect for his wisdom. Cakap besar, tak berkias. It seems like Dr M is feeling like he is bigger than anyone else and like everybody in Malaysia owes him something too big to repay. I think he is the kind of man who likes to dominate.
Since I came back on Saturday, I have been doing nothing, except for today. Went to an interview, contacted some prospective employers, got a call from Sheila who wanted me to join ING, and contacted the ING hr personnel asking for a job. huh... what a day ya. Afterwards, went to Midvalley to hang around MPH. Gladly to see Elly (baru je cakap pasal dia ngan Sheila). Kawan-kawan aku ni semua dah keje ni. isk... susah hati.
